Sit & sip: where to get a great glass of wine in Palm Springs

Sit & sip: where to get a great glass of wine in Palm Springs, LULU

Sometimes there’s not a lot of time to sample a new restaurant. A nice way to ease yourself into a new spot is to go get a glass of wine with some friends. There are several places in Palm Springs where you can dip in for a post-work glass of vino.

Zin American Bistro is consistently one of the valley’s top picks. With an extensive wine list featuring many wines by the glass, plus half bottles, it’s a great place to kick off your wine bar tour. Don’t miss the ‘endless champagne and mimosa’ brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

V Wine Lounge

V Wine Lounge in Kaptur Plaza serves all of the great boutique California wines, small production international wines, plus craft beer and throwback cocktails. The wine list is curated from small batch wineries and they work directly with  California producers. This wine room concept has been brought over from West Hollywood to Palm Springs and the owners have adapted it to look and feel like a  throwback mid-century lounge.

LULU Palm Springs dubs itself a ‘California Bistro’ and indeed its bright modern room is a place to see and be seen. LULU is also one of the few places that’s open late — stay and sip till 1AM on Fridays and Saturdays.

Spencer’s is the place to go to drink wine in a charming old world atmosphere. Boasting an extensive wine list Spencer’s is in a lovely setting at the base of a mountain.

Leave the car at home and make a night of exploring all the best places for wine in Palm Springs.
